‘How to Grow a Gorgeous Garden with a Lot Less Water’ by Pam Penick. Saving water is always good. In this day and age depending on where you live cutting back on watering your garden is a good thing. Its good if you live in a drought but also cuts down on water bills (by catching rain water) so its something everyone can use.

Its an interesting book. Sure a number of tips depend on the region you live in the US. Some of the plants might do very well in say  Arizona and not in Missouri or New York.

I liked some of the water saving ideas. It talks about natural plants to the region, water conservation with pools and fountains, gravel and rocks as well as water saving plants. The photo of the mirror was a nice touch and got me thinking more creatively.

I did feel the index needed more photo’s of plants. Again a picture always helps more and allows one to visually build up ones garden.
